Songs of the Soul from Father Douglas, osf

"Songs of the Soul" is a series of paintings inspired by William Blake’s poems Songs of Innocence & Songs of Experience. In this exhibition, Father Douglas’ fondness for dogs leads to the imagery in this body of work.... expressing how humankind has not changed since Blake exposed these troubles to the world over two hundred years ago.

"Songs of the Soul" is up in Gallery A of the Visual Arts Alberta Gallery. Showing in Gallery B is "Tengingar", Deborah Catton's collection of photographs and paintings which explore the Icelandic landscape. Both shows are up until March 28, 2015. Gallery hours and location are listed below.
