Craddock & De Souza: Hometown Dreams & Labyrinth of the Eternal Archetype

Join us for the opening reception of Linda Craddock & Shyra De Souza tonight Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 7-9:30 pm at Visual Arts Alberta Gallery (3rd Floor, 10215-112 St. in Edmonton).

Craddock’s rural Alberta community provides subject and metaphor for her paintings. The conflict between conscious memory, subconscious memory and reality form the framework for her work. See Craddock's work in Gallery A.

In her Installation, De Souza uses/manipulates found objects and recognizable imagery to create a sense of the uncanny: a tension between our desire for the easily identifiable and the unknown. De Souza's work is exhibited in Gallery B.

View Hometown Dreams and Labyrinth of the Eternal Archetype from March 20 until May 3, 2014. Visual Arts Alberta Gallery is open from Wed-Fri, 10am-4pm and Sat, 12-4pm. Please note, the gallery will be closed on April 18 & 19, 2014.
