Counting Crows

Pam Weber, "Crowboy Boots 2", acrylic on paper,  4" x 5"
Counting Crows presents the unique visions and personal responses to Corax brachyrhychos, the American crow, by four Alberta artists: Penny Corradine, Natalie Kurzuk, Kathryn Manry and Pam Weber. Among the artists' work, the focus shifts between an ornithological, a sociological, a mythological, a playful and even sometimes a humourous interpretation of the common crow. Through their exploration, research, and observations in preparation for this show, the artists have developed a deep respect for this ubiquitous bird.

View Counting Crows at the Visual Arts Alberta Gallery until May 25th. The gallery is open from 10am-4pm Wed.-Fri. and 12-4pm on Sat. The gallery will be closed on May 18.
