Karen says, "The forms these objects take may be playful or serious, complex or simple, but it is important that the object perform its function well. The form does not follow the function but is an equal partner. Form is the aesthetic expression of function."

Visual Arts Alberta welcomes the work of Edmonton artists and partners Karen and David Cantine. "Homework" is curated by Ania Sleczkowska, founding director and curator of Art and Life, and is part of the Synchronous events here in the city during the month of September. "Homework" runs until October 13, 2012.
